Pueblo

Pueblo, by the company Marcat Dance, plays Teatro Cánovas in Málaga on 6 and 7 November 2026 at 8pm.

With this large-scale contemporary dance piece, Marcat Dance marks its tenth anniversary in 2026. It's the company's most ambitious work to date and a tribute to the “pueblo” – village, people, community – as origin, as community and as a driver of the future, born out of the rural setting where the company works, shaped by nature, tradition, silence and slow time.

From that rhythm comes a powerful, very human choreographic language, built on the idea that innovation comes not from haste but from listening and observation. As the proverb that inspired the piece puts it, a people that forgets its roots loses its identity. Tickets €20.
