Norma

Norma, by Vincenzo Bellini, is performed at Teatro Cervantes in Málaga as part of the XXXVIII Lyric Season, on 28 May 2027 at 7.30pm and 30 May at 7pm.

First staged at La Scala in Milan in 1831, it's one of the high points of bel canto. In Roman-occupied Gaul, Norma, high priestess of the Druids, has broken her vows for love of the Roman proconsul Pollione, by whom she has two secret children. When she discovers he has betrayed her for the young Adalgisa, tragedy follows. It includes “Casta diva”, one of the most famous arias in all opera.

One of the season's great lyric events. Tickets from €28.67 (up to €196.61).
