Carmen

Carmen, by Bern Ballet, plays Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in Málaga on 9 and 10 April 2027 at 7pm.

Switzerland's leading contemporary dance company presents, for the first time in Spain, its version of the great story of love and jealousy. José can't bear the free spirit of the woman he loves, and jealousy ends up governing everything he does. Carmen, meanwhile, follows her own compass: for her, freedom comes first, in love as in everything else, and she claims the right to choose and to leave whenever she wants.

A strikingly contemporary Carmen, radically free and incorruptible. Tickets from €25.

Part of TIP TOE, the Soho International Dance Festival, which brings five shows to Teatro del Soho CaixaBank from 3 to 11 April 2027: La Mer, Lost Letters, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Carmen and Amalur Infinita. To see more than one, a season pass for all five costs €100 (€20 per show), on sale through El Corte Inglés.
