Opened in July 2001, the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella is the town's main performing-arts venue. Owned by the municipality and run by Marbella Town Council's Culture Department, it seats 480. It offers a full programme of theatre, music, dance, flamenco and opera, and hosts the Marbella International Opera Festival every year.
